After
shopping extensively for "hybrid" type guitars, I decided
to take a chance on the Cervantes Crossover 1 without ever having
played one. I am amazed at the quality of craftsmanship that went
into the building of this guitar. Musically, it plays and sounds
as goodif not better than much higher priced instruments.
It is exactly what I was looking for, as if it were built exclusively
for me, and the price was very reasonable. I have been playing
guitar for over 30 years, and I'm confident I will be playing
this guitar for the next 30. You just don't find this
kind of quality, craftsmanship, and affordability anymore.
Thanks,

As I
progressed to more advanced guitar music, I began to experience
tendonitis in my left elbow, which made it difficult to play.
My guitar teacher suggested I needed to upgrade to a better instrument
anyway. I spent six months looking for a guitar with beautiful
tone and great playability that would relieve the pain in my arm.
It was not an easy task. I could usually determine within ten
to twenty minutes of playing an instrument whether it would aggravate
my elbow. The shape of the back of the neck seemed to be the determining
factor; a more rounded back was much more comfortable to play
than a rectangular or flat shape. I was not having much success
at finding an instrument that met my needs until I played a Cervantes
guitar. I was so impressed with its rich sound and playability
that I bought one of Alejandro’s handmade Master Cocobolo
and Spruce guitars. The guitar has a beautiful tone, is very responsive,
and its tonal coloration makes it really enjoyable to play. My
guitar teacher was also impressed with the guitar and pointed
out that it has great separation of voices and good volume as
well. It is also a very beautiful guitar, with superb workmanship
and detailing. I have not seen anything that could compare with
this guitar, especially for the price. And most importantit
has solved my elbow problem! I can play for long periods of time
without any pain in my elbow at all! What a joy it is to play!

I have
been a finger-style guitar player for over 30 years. I am used
to playing nice guitars such as Guild, Taylor, Martin, Larrivee, etc..
I have recently decided to switch over to classical, and I purchased
a Cervantes Concert Series “Rodriguez” model. In my
search for a guitar of excellent workmanship, sound, and value
I played a Ramirez 3E and 4E, a Kenny Hill “New World”,
an Esteve 9C, a Pavan T-30, and several guitars by Francisco Navarro.
All of these were nice instruments. Some were more expensive than
the Cervantes and some less. The Cervantes had the best sound,
very resonant and balanced. I also appreciate the fact that the
workmanship is a bit heavier in the back and sides. In addition,
it is truly a beautiful instrument. The Indian Rosewood is of
excellent appearance and the Cedar soundboard dark and rich. Keep
up the good work!

Dear
Alejandro,
My Cervantes "Hauser" model has been a great
guitar. It has given me the opportunity to express myself more
musically. I feel it has made me a better guitarist. I think owning
a Cervantes guitar will be for a lifetime. I would like to tell
you Alejandro that you are one of the finest Luthiers today. Your
guitars are made with the finest woods and craftsmanship.
I will recommend your guitars to any serious guitar player.
All the best Alejandro!!
